Got questions.
Honest answers. No fluff.
Before you
come in.
Almost certainly yes. Every piece I've ever posted comes from a brand I stock — BVLA, Norvoch, Ember, Anatometal, Neometal, Junipurr and more. Even if a specific piece is sold out or was a one-off order, I can order it for you.
Send me a screenshot via DM or email, book a consultation appointment and we'll go through everything together. I'll order exactly what you need in the right size, gauge and metal for your piercing.
The piercing fee covers the piercing itself — the service, the expertise, the setup. It does not include the jewelry.
At LPR Piercing, jewelry is always sold separately. Every piece is solid 14k or 18k gold or implant grade titanium from professional-grade brands. The total you paid is the piercing fee + the jewelry you chose. This is stated clearly on the pricelist and throughout the booking process.
Yes — walk-ins are welcome Wednesday to Saturday, 11:00–18:00, subject to availability. The studio runs on a capped appointment model so slots fill up, especially on weekends.
If you want to guarantee your spot, book online. If you want to take your chances, come by and we'll do our best to fit you in.
No. I don't install jewelry bought elsewhere — full stop.
Everything in the studio is hand-picked for quality, safety and finish. I can't vouch for jewelry I didn't source. If you want a specific piece, bring a photo or a link and we'll find it or order it together.
What goes
in your ear.
Yes — and honestly, I'm glad you're here.
Piercing guns were designed for livestock and adapted poorly for humans. The jewelry inside a gun is always low quality, and the butterfly backs are a bacteria trap. The jewelry is one-size-fits-all — too short for 99% of people — causing pressure, irritation and slow or failed healing.
A needle piercing is more accurate, less traumatic to tissue, heals faster and produces healthier scar tissue. We can almost always repierce through old healed gun holes. Book a consultation and we'll take a look.
Yes — several brands I stock are fully customisable. BVLA, Norvoch, Anatometal, Neometal and Industrial Strength all allow you to choose the gem, metal colour, genuine vs lab-grown stones, setting style and more.
For custom orders I ask a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront. Book a consultation, bring your references and we'll design your perfect piece together.
A lot. Implant grade titanium (ASTM F136) is nickel-free, completely hypoallergenic, lightweight and biocompatible — the same material used in surgical implants.
Surgical steel contains nickel, one of the most common causes of allergic reactions in piercings. I don't use it. Every piece at LPR Piercing is either ASTM F136 implant grade titanium or solid 14k/18k gold.
No — fronts and backs are sold separately in the webshop. This means you only buy exactly what you need, in the correct size for your anatomy and jewelry setup.
If you're not sure what you need, book an appointment and we'll sort it together.
No. And if a piercer tells you otherwise, they're selling you something.
There is a loose reference to acupressure logic here — but piercers don't apply pressure, we pierce. The specific point that acupuncture references is not actually pierceable. If there were real clinical evidence for this, your GP would have learned to pierce it in their six-year medical training. They haven't, because the evidence isn't there.
Taking care
of it.
No. Everybody can heal a piercing.
If your piercing keeps failing, the problem is not your body — it's the jewelry quality, the material, the placement, the aftercare advice you were given, or the fact that nobody told you a downsize is mandatory at 6 weeks.
A downsize means swapping the initial longer post for a shorter one once swelling has gone down. Leaving a long post in too long is one of the most common causes of piercing problems. Most studios don't mention it because it requires a second appointment.
If you've had repeated bad experiences, come in for a consultation. We'll figure out what went wrong and start fresh properly.
Simple: NeilMed saline spray, twice a day. Rinse daily in the shower with running water. Don't touch it. Don't twist it. Don't clean it with alcohol, tea tree oil or cotton buds.
That's it. The less you do to a healing piercing, the better it heals.
The most common cause of healing problems we see as piercers is pressure. And the most common pressure issue is sleeping on your piercing. As long as you have the starter jewelry or longer post in — and that means at minimum the first 6 weeks, often longer — sleeping on that side is a hard no. It causes irritation bumps, prolongs healing and in some cases leads to rejection. Travel pillow with your ear in the hole, or learn to sleep on the other side.
You'll receive full aftercare instructions at your appointment.
There's an important distinction here: a professional piercer can change your jewelry at any stage of healing, as long as the piece is suited to where you are in the process. You don't need to wait — just book an appointment and we'll sort it.
Changing it yourself is a different story. We advise waiting around a year before attempting a DIY jewelry change. By then the piercing has built strong enough scar tissue to handle it without trauma. Always use a taper when changing jewelry yourself — it guides the new piece through without forcing it. Our Piercing Jewelry Change Kit includes tapers for both 1.0mm and 1.2mm, or you can buy them separately in the webshop.
And the mandatory downsize at 6 weeks still applies regardless — that's always done by a piercer, not at home.
Probably not — bumps on piercings are very common and most are irritation bumps, not infections. True infections involve heat, spreading redness, green or black discharge and sometimes fever.
An irritation bump usually means something is putting pressure on the piercing — a post that's too long, sleeping on it, or snagging it. The fix is usually a downsize and leaving it alone.
Come in and I'll have a look. Don't treat it yourself with tea tree oil — this almost always makes it worse.
Orders &
delivery.
Yes — we ship across Europe. Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, UK and more. Free shipping on orders over €150. Check the shipping policy for the full list of countries and rates.
Possibly yes. Stock at LPR rotates monthly. For specific pieces from brands I stock, I can order it specifically for you. Send me a message with what you're looking for and I'll let you know what's possible.
If you were pierced at LPR, your jewelry details are in your client file. You can also find them yourself by logging into your account on the website — use the same email address you used to book your appointment or filled in on your consent form. If you haven't activated your account yet, just click "forgot password" and you'll be set up in seconds.
If you were pierced elsewhere, come in for a check-up before ordering online. Getting the wrong size is the most common webshop mistake and it's completely avoidable.
For hygiene reasons, piercing jewelry that has been worn cannot be returned or exchanged. Unworn, unopened items can be returned within 14 days.
If you ordered the wrong size, message me before opening the packaging and we'll see what we can do.
