Made from soda-lime glass with implant grade silicone rings as closures, they are the safest option available when you need to temporarily remove your jewelry for a medical procedure, MRI or CT scan or hospital visit. Glass is non-reactive, non-porous and body-safe for extended wear in a way that plastic, bioflex and PTFE alternatives simply are not — those materials are not designed for prolonged contact with healing or healed tissue and should not stay in the body for more than a few hours.
